The 2000s: THE FUTURE OF AMERICA: THE Semite wars
"In the beginning of the XXI C. the Semite wars between Israel and Palestine,
expanded to the Mother Cultures of America and Islam."
Technological
processes forecast the violence of the 2000s
In this issue, we will consider the events
involved in the present military and economical Crisis of the American Empire,
now involved in the Semite Wars, of which the World Trade Center Attack and
The Afghan war are just the last episode.
- On one hand we will study how and why it was possible the destruction of the World Center by a desperado group of Third World guerrilla terrorists.
- On the other side, we will consider the destruction of an entire nation with air-strikes, in yet another cycle of technological war that gives big profits to American companies and politicians, but does not change or solves the fundamental causes of terrorism.
- Finally as it is customary in this magazine dedicated to the scientific study of History we will project the crisis into the future, considering the consequences of those two elements of the crisis: Global Terrorism represented by Bin Laden, and Global Militarism, represented by Mr. Bush, both pawns of the flows and cycles of History.
- To that aim we will go well beyond the obvious, and study in depth, the nature of the 3 civilizations involved in this crisis, Islam, Judaism and America. In as much as this process is a systemic process of degeneration of those civilizations, not an isolated event that won't be repeated.
As
the war ends with the fall of Kabul and the probable capture of Mr. Bin Laden,
you might think the crisis will end. Not so, we will argue, in as much as this
crisis is part of a wider change in History foretold in previous issues.
Indeed, we forecast in our summer issue, the
change of age that the 2000 decade meant for mankind, as the positive economical
and historic cycles of the 90s exhausted themselves. We compared this incoming
age of 'neofascism' to the 30s in Europe, as violence substituted diplomacy
in the control of the world. In this fall that forecast became sorely truth.
Do not cheat yourself. The 2001 crisis is not
an exceptional hiatus caused by Mr. Laden, but a natural age, to which the 90s
lead, as the multiplication of weapons, free trade, Third World poverty and
violent mass-media, made possible both absurd sides of this crisis.
Once more the key to this crisis is technological.
The evolution of weapons and lethal technologies proper of war, has made them
now readily available to individual elements of our society at a fair price.
So the law of offer and demand facilitates the capacity to kill of small groups
in disagreement with our global society. This trend will increase as Atomic
Energy becomes the backbone of Asian development, Nano-robotics comes to the
reach of University Students, and Biological weapons become developed in small
chemical factories...
On the other hand, the technological evolution
of mass-media guided by a constant increase of visual movement and violent images,
is causing the parallel devolution of the human verbal, social mind. So we enter
a violent visual age, a 'neo-Paleolithic culture', that substitutes the verbal
written culture of our ancestors, and simplifies mankind, and our capacity to
dialog and solve rationally our collective problems. The consequence is obvious:
more people and politicians will practice that the accepted methods of crisis
solution of our films - violence and murder.
In this manner lethal technology readily available
to the masses, and violent ideologies of history and mankind, now common place
in our mass-media, reinforce the tendency towards Global terrorism and Global
militarism.
We live in an age of radical poverty in the Third
World, controlled by Military dictatorships, that goes hand in hand with an
age of selfish corrupted democracies in the First world that have accepted Industrial
war for profits. It was only a question of time, that the combined action of
all those causes 'created' a 'Bin Laden' on one side. And a 'global coalition'
of industrial lobbies and hard-nose politicians that would eliminate some basic
rights of citizens in the first world, and degrade our policies towards the
poor nations with the excuse of confronting terrorism.
Islamic terrorism has such a wide social base
that Mr. Bin Laden is not enough explanation. We need to explain the social
reasons that promote it. Those social reasons are happening for centuries -
colonialism - and are now becoming more evident due to the asymmetric process
of globalization of the last decades.
On one side the rich are becoming richer, on
the other the poor enter a raw fight for daily survival. Our unjust financial,
Political and economical systems, are causing a radical age of poverty in the
Third World, and the lower classes of our societies where violent ideologies
will breed and gathered momentum along this century.
In the Third World, fundamentalisms of many kinds
are bound to grow, as billions of human beings, find themselves in a desperado
situation, on the verge between survival and extinction both at individual level
(hunger, street violence, military dictatorships) and at cultural level (destruction
of their cultures by the industrial, machine-based values of the west, in open
confrontation with the values of traditional religions.)
In the First world, the evolution of robotics
and informative technologies that automatize industrial processes has caused
this year around a million new unemployed. So a new form of Terrorism that the
Anthrax attack inaugurates, will also spread in our nations: without dialog
our own rebels with resort also to violence; while our selfish, irresponsible
economical, and political elites will use repression which is the cheapest option,
to crash those rebellions.
The effects of such solutions are well know to
the historian. It is the spider web paradox. As the world becomes a security
state, people will oppose further to the system. As the economy makes easier
individual terrorism, people will commit more terrorist acts. As violent mass-media
highlights those strikes, more desperadoes will want to be 'part of history'.
The spider web is formed, each cycle of Global Terrorism followed by State terrorism,
will take society out of balance...
Indeed, the decade has only started. Put your
seat-belts. The plane is gonna rock, and might plunge into new tragedies as
our pilots commit new mistakes...
Solutions to the crisis. Why they will not be implemented
Could
the crisis be solved? Yes, if we implement the proper policies unfortunately
not high in the agenda of our leadership. In our summer issue, we proposed certain
basic measures to limit those systemic processes of evolution of the software/hardware
of violence, that could cause a global age of terrorism.
We considered the 3 fundamental processes that
should be limited to prevent this incoming new militaristic age and global terrorism:
- The creation of a Global Free trade market that restricts the harmless, positive goods of Third world countries (food, tourism, artisany) and promotes free trade in financial products, communication/computer technologies and weapons proper of the first world. The effect of this process is dual. On one side it increases the poverty of the third world, as money flees their markets, and their goods cannot be sold; on the other hand it makes lethal technologies available to terrorists, and destroys with mass-media messages, the cultural balances of those Neolithic countries whose values are erased, without any chance to enter our set of values based in a machine-wealth they envy but sorely lack. In that sense we advised a new vision for world trade that favors the development of positive wealth in Third World nations.
Instead the globalization process continues, increasing the poverty of Neolithic-agricultural based nations; and technological war to give profits to American industries has become the rule, with lethal consequences for 'those collateral losses' that were called in the past human beings. The evolution of computerized air war-systems able to control sophisticated machines of war at distance, and kill people of enemy nations, with minimal 'danger' for American troops is indeed a wrong strategy. Such kind of war has been at work for decades now. In Desert storm this new type of war, which solves nothing but gives big profits to weapon lobbies was essayed. Again in Kosovo, and now in Afghanistan, technological war solves nothing but makes money in the Dow Jones, already up a 30% since the war started. Instead diplomatic dialog and land troops would be more efficient to solve conflicts. - Violent, dramatic mass-media today orchestrates and provokes the reactions of the mass in favor of wars. In that sense a film code that would restrict technological violence on TV instead of the present not-written censorship of social human ideas and sensorial pleasures, would improve our mass-media culture, and limit the promotion of violence by mass-media. Instead, the technological evolution of mental machines, has made of humans targets for weapons, fueling violent attitudes in people of both worlds.
- Finally we pointed at the obvious fact that today Industrial war is seeked for in corrupted democracies in which companies by through lobbies laws in favor of their products. In the first world we talked in this summer issue of the arrival of 'neo-fascism', with militaristic lobbies, placing their politicians in power in Israel (Ariel Sharon), America (Bush Jr., Chenney and Powell), and European nations (Putin, right wing politicians in EU). As technological weapons become more sophisticated and expensive, military lobbyism reaches higher heights...
On
the political arena, this means a radical regression in the evolution of democracies,
that today are ruled by technological power, and its lobbies.
Technological Lobbyism is indeed the sickness
of the American civilization. Among the different versions of technological
lobbyism the most powerful of all lobbyisms is military lobbyism, since it is
a "nothing Vs all" business. Indeed, you can sell cars to the people or to the
government, but you can only sell tanks to the government. Hence the enormous
quantities military companies spend to control American International policies
through hard nose politicians always ready for war. Yet technology does not
solve the modern forms of Third World Guerrillas. It is only a way to make money.
In that sense we advised higher expenditures in human security-based systems
to control individual terrorists that technological 'star war shields', would
never be able to target.
We also hoped then for a reform of the American
democracy in the style of European nations, making illegal the lobbyist process
that now directs American policies. Instead with Mr. Bush Military lobbyism
has become the rule, and a team of CEOs of war industries occupy the key position
of the republican Cabinet (the president of Alcoa, main Aluminum provider for
American weapons, Mr. Chenney and the Bush clan related to Carlyle, the biggest
military holding of the world). So war instead of peace, has become the goal
of the American government as it happened in Germany in the 30s, when the Iron
and military industries put Hitler in power...
No wonder that in this war crisis none of our
advises have been implemented. Since there is no interest to solve the crisis
and return to a peaceful age.
It seems obvious that America is increasingly
becoming no longer a democracy but a military Empire similar to the colonial
empires of XIX Century... as the Third world also plunges into an age of chaos
similar to that lived in Africa in the XIX C.
Thus the a priori conditions both in politics
and technology for an age of 'splendid little wars' are now clear: We have entered
in an "Orwellian" age in which a technological-big brother-matrix-police state
based in a constant low-intensity war against Third World rebel nations is not
only possible, but desirable for the political and economical regressive environment
we live in, dominated by violent technologies, fundamentalist cultures by no
means limited to Islam, and corrupted democracies where lobbyism decides the
action s of governments.
Within that context the fundamental events of
the social and economical arena in the 2001: the growth of global terrorism
(with the destruction of the twin towers in New York City), and the expansion
of the 2001 cycle of economical crisis, enlarged by the war, were logic. They
did not come at all as a surprise, when we understand the present World, its
injustices, lethal technologies and political/economic ecosystems. Once more
bio-history has unfortunately proved itself in its capacity to predict the future:
given certain Historic conditions, the individual that will cause one new tragedy
of History always appears. If Hitler had not existed, Goring would have done
the same. If Mr. Bin Laden had not been there, another desperado fundamentalist
would have fought under bio-historic causes, this war.
